Deep tissue massage: An intensive yet feel-good therapy

The deep tissue massage is essentially a massage, with considerably firmer pressure being applied using the hands, palms or even the elbow.

With this method, not only are the muscles loosened up, so too is the surrounding connective tissue – the fasciae. Layers of fascia are often ‘glued’ together, preventing the muscles from stretching fully, which in turn leads to blockages and pain.

Our experienced therapists also perform deep tissue release using various techniques such as stretching and trigger point therapy. The deep tissue massage is an intensive massage, whose firmer movements are perceived by the clients as liberating and beneficial.

Health insurance refund

Your deep tissue massage can be paid by cash, by card or with TWINT at the HEART wellness lounge. We are happy to issue you a receipt upon request. This can be submitted to your supplementary health insurance provider, who will then refund you the stipulated amount.

Please note that, since January 2018, we are legally obliged to write ‘illness’ as the reason for treatment on the invoice and on the refund document.
